What's wrong with pickup trucks?

A lot, actually.

Most pickup truck manufacturers give you a lot of dimensions, but they leave out an important one- the height of the bed itself. Trucks have a massive liftover height that is unsafe for most jobs, and the wheel wells worsen the problem.

Most of the intuitive positions around a pickup truck are very bad ergonomically. Bed enclosures compound the problem by preventing the only really sound lifting movement (climbing directly into the bed.)
